I, MONSTER

1/8

The idea of becoming monstrous can be liberating, by exploring this it allows you to look at the physical representation of yourself in a different light . The project was based on notions of similarity, difference and self, drawing on films such as Jekyll and Hyde, Psycho and The Fly, and artists/designers such as Douglas Gordon, Janieta Eyre and Gillian Wearing. Students worked in pairs, to disfigure, disguise and deform each other using tights, elastic bands, surgical tape and Ping-Pong balls.
